The two-day Jaspal Bhatti Humour Festival opened up to a lively start at the Tagore Theatre on Thursday.
Comedy lovers thronged theatre as impressive comic performances were given by well-known satire and stand-up comedians from Bollywood and Punjabi film industry.
The festival is organised by the UT cultural affairs department.
Actor-comedian Deepak Raja, who also anchored the programme, paid tributes to comedy king Jaspal Bhatti. Standup comedian Amit Tandon also performed.
Sumedh Shinde mimicked film actors and singers. The AIB trio Rohan Joshi, Ashish Shakya and Gursimran also delighted the audience. Earlier, the visibly emotional Savita Bhatti expressed gratitude to the organisers.
