The Marathi film Sairat, an unusual romance between an upper caste girl and lower caste man is has done wonders at the box office garnering Rs 41.11 crores.
The Marathi film Sairat has done exceptionally well on the box office collecting Rs 41.11 crore, 12 days after its release on April 29.

Earlier, actor Ritiesh Deshmukh too lauded the film and here’s what he said in a tweet.
“#Sairat : haven’t seen a better love story in a long time - the genius of @Nagrajmanjule & the magic of @AjayAtulOnline - .” he tweeted.
Directed by Nagraj Manjule, the film is a romance that follows the story of Parshya, a low-caste man and Archie, the daughter of an upper caste landlord, who fall in love despite pressures from society.
