Red Chillies star Mrudula Murali to make Bollywood debut with Raag Desh

Southern actor Mrudula Murali has been roped in as the leading lady in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Raag Desh, which also stars Sonam Kapoor’s cousin Mohit Marwah.

Southern actor Mrudula Murali has been roped in as the leading lady in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Raag Desh, which also stars Sonam Kapoor’s cousin Mohit Marwah.

Mrudula has worked in Malyalam films Eisamma Enna Aankutty and Shigamani and Tamil films like Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA and Chikkikku Sikkikichu.

“She will play the role of a real life character in the period drama. The film will be based on the Indian National Army trials,” read a statement.

The film is also rumoured to star Kunal Kapoor in an important role. Mrudula has worked in Malyalam films Eisamma Enna Aankutty and Shigamani and Tamil films like Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA and Chikkikku Sikkikichu.

She is expected to start shooting for the project soon.
