The buzz around Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu has reached its peak, just a day before its release on August 7. The makers of this Koratala Siva-directed film shared a 21-second teaser on Thursday, and needless to say, the focus is squarely on superstar Mahesh Babu.
The buzz around Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu has reached its peak, just a day before its release on August 7. The makers of this Koratala Siva-directed film shared a 21-second teaser on Thursday, and needless to say, the focus is squarely on superstar Mahesh Babu. It opens with Mahesh walking through a village street with the villagers looking at him expectantly. The scene also features Mahesh doing the trademark South Indian lungi leg-flick! Somewhere in between, we also see him wearing his serious, man-of–the-moment look.

Cut to a few sequences ahead and we see Shruti Haasan and Mahesh in what looks like a college cafeteria. Shruti tells him that she owes a lot to her village and needs to give it back, else she will become fat! Really? Oh okay, that was meant to add a dash of humour to this family drama coupled with college romance.

As the teaser moves on, we see fleeting instances of budding romance between the two lead cast. Srimanthudu is the story of a NRI businessman and scion of an important family who must return to his roots to reclaim his legacy.
