Sania fails to qualify for ASB Classic main draw

Sania Mirza today failed to enter the main draw of ASB Classic tennis tournament and bowed out in the qualifiers. The 141-ranked Indian lost 1-6, 7-6(7), 6-7(5) to Germany's Sabine Lisicki in the last round.

Sania Mirza on Monday failed to enter the main draw of ASB Classic tennis tournament and bowed out in the qualifiers.

The 141-ranked Indian lost 1-6, 7-6(7), 6-7(5) to Germany's Sabine Lisicki in the last round.

Sania lost the first set in a jiffy before drawing parity. She was leading 5-2 in the final set tie-breaker before losing her way.
