Roman Reigns credits Cody Rhodes' father for instilling confidence during early days as a WWE wrestler
The Tribal Chief reminisced how Cody Rhodes' father Dusty Rhodes helped him in his career growth
Roman Reigns is one of the biggest stars in WWE currently. Reigns is WWE Universal Champion for more than 900 days now since winning the title by defeating "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Payback in 2020. He is also the leader of The Bloodline which includes Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Paul Heyman. But the 37-year-old had to toil hard to achieve the super stardom that he enjoys today.
In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Reigns weighed in on his journey and rise in WWE especially after the popular group The Shield got dismantled.

"There was always that struggle, and I don’t blame them. Everything we’re doing now and how it is displayed — the character work, the personality, the storylines, all of that the information we’re giving our fans, we’re keeping everything as logical as you can in a wrestling show," said Reigns.
The Tribal Chief also reminisced how Cody Rhodes' father Dusty Rhodes helped him in his career growth. Reigns recalled how Dusty instilled confidence in him during his early days and helped him channelise his latent talent.
"He’s[Dusty Rhodes] critical early on as far as instilling confidence. He saw the man I would become opposed to what I was looking at in the mirror. I’ve lived with that and carried that with me anytime I have doubts," said Reigns.
The current WWE Champion shed light on the possibility of moving away from WWE and trying his hands in some other venture.
"I feel good. I take care of myself. I’m not running around doing anything crazy. I raise children and dominate the wrestling game. If they keep cutting these insane checks, I’ll stay around," added Reigns.
Meanwhile, Reigns will defend Undisputed WWE Universal Champion title against 2023 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39. The Show of Shows is set to be a two-night premium event on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2.
