Tripura ‘best performing state’ in northeast under central scheme: Official

In more accolades for the state, the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) was selected as the ‘Best Performing Municipal Corporation’, and the Belonia Municipal Council in South Tripura district the ‘Best Performing Municipal Council’, under the scheme.

3 men kidnapped by militants in Tripura freed after 2 weeks

Assistant Inspector General of Tripura police Subrata Chakraborty told the reporters on Thursday that the abducted persons were released due to police and security forces’ continuous operations on the overground members of the militant outfit in the state.

Teenager detained for spreading fake news from Twitter handle identical to Tripura CM’s account

The detainee is a resident of Dhaleswar in Agartala. He tweeted a fake message on Twitter that the state government has announced reimposition of lockdown restrictions, starting Friday for the next seven days in a bid to contain the spread of the viral outbreak.
