Govt says Covid-19 cases, deaths declining in India; cautions against any laxity

Covid-19 mortality rate in Maharashtra drops in last two weeks

India’s daily Covid-19 count falls further, active cases remain below 6 lakh

The country has been witnessing a fall in daily Covid-19 numbers in the month of October. Its case fatality rate fell below 1.5 per cent on Saturday, the Union health ministry said. Deaths per million population in the country stand at a very low level of 88, it said.

Average daily fatalities due to Covid-19 continuously decreasing in past six weeks, says health ministry

A graph shared by the health ministry shows India, on average, registered 615 daily deaths due to the virus in the week of October 21-27, the sixth week. The country has thus far recorded 120,010 deaths, which is 1.50% of its total Covid-19 cases, the health ministry’s website shows.

For 3rd consecutive day, active Covid-19 cases in India remain below 7.5 lakh

Delhi deaths hit 5,000; India sees 100k daily recoveries

According to Monday’s government health bulletin, 2,548 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections in the Capital to 249,259. The infection has killed a total of 5,014 people till Sunday, while 213,304 people have recovered.

With 1,873 new cases, Telangana’s Covid-19 tally stands at 1,24,963
