There are approximately four lakh hotels and restaurants in Maharashtra of which 2.40 lakh have reopened their establishments.

Officials in the chief minister’s office said Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal is yet to return the file sent by revenue minister Kailash Gahlot on August 6, seeking approval to open hotels, gyms, weekly markets and yoga centres in the Capital.

According to the guidelines, the cleared hospitality establishments will not be allowed to take bookings from customers of high-load Covid-19 cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Noida, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Lucknow and others.
