Flood relief kits given by Rahul Gandhi found abandoned in his constituency Wayanad

Wayanad had witnessed numerous landslides after heavy rains during the last monsoon. The Congress leader who emerged victorious from the seat in 2019 elections had promptly responded and rushed enough food kits to his constituency. A truck-load of such food kits were found abandoned on Wednesday.

All police stations in Kerala to become child-friendly: DGP

At present, 85 police stations in the state have such children-friendly centres. The state police chief said the system will be implemented in 12 more police stations within three months. He said that the Kerala Police aims to launch child-friendly centres in all police stations.

Rahul Gandhi to visit his north Kerala constituency of Wayanad today

No public function is scheduled during the three-day visit but he will attend a review meeting called by the Malappuram collector on Monday and later proceed to Wayanad. Besides Wayanad district, many areas of Kozhikode and Malappuram districts also form a part of his constituency.

Body of 6-month-old baby recovered, Kerala landslide death toll rises to 43

Sniffer dogs were used by the rescue team to help retrieve many of the bodies, after a colony of tea plantation workers was buried under slush after heavy rains triggered the landslide on Friday, they said.

Triple lockdown in Thiruvananthapuram as Kerala’s Covid-19 tally rises

The state reported two deaths on Monday, taking the toll to 28. With 193 new cases reported, the total number of cases in the state shot up to 5,622, of which 2,252 are active and 3,341 have recovered.

With 108 new Covid-19 cases, Kerala sees spike amid large influx of expatriates

Kerala had managed to almost flatten its coronavirus curve in the first week of May, but the number of Covid-19 positive cases escalated rapidly with the return of expatriates from West Asian countries and migrant workers stranded in other states.
