Nasa invites application for year-long simulated mission on Mars-like habitat

According to details shard by Nasa, each mission will consist of four crew members living and working in a 1,700-square-foot module 3D-printed by ICON, called Mars Dune Alpha. As part of the simulation tasks, the crew members will conduct spacewalks and scientific research.

'We're going big': Nasa's Ingenuity copter to push its limits for next flight

The Ingenuity helicopter has till now remained close enough to the Perseverence rover on the Martian surface. However, for its next flight, Ingenuity will try to break its own records in distance, time aloft, and groundspeed, Nasa said.

A selfie from Mars: China's Zhurong rover spreads its 'wings' on Red Planet

China's Zhurong rover captured what is technically a selfie, more of a "group photo" to be precise, where it put a wireless camera on the Martian surface before scooting back to spread its wings and pose before it. The rover also made sure to include its landing platform in the frame.

NASA's Mars helicopter soars higher, longer on 2nd flight

The 4-pound chopper, named Ingenuity, hovered longer and also flew side to side this time, according to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California. It achieved the intended altitude of 16 feet and even accelerated sideways 7 feet.

NASA shares images of electric blue dunes on Mars

The set of images, clicked on the Red Planet at 80.3 degrees north latitude, 172.1 degrees east longitude, were released to mark the 20th anniversary of Odyssey, the longest-working Mars spacecraft in history.

Two types of dunes are seen in the image. One set is yellowish in colour and signifies warmer climates, and the other set is bluish or pale that represents colder climates.(NASA)
