Virus claims 11 lives in Himachal

Eleven patients succumbed to the coronavirus disease in the state on Wednesday, taking the state’s total death toll to 349. Meanwhile, 433 new cases surfaced in Himachal. Four deaths were reported in Shimla, two each in Kangra, Mandi and Kullu and one in Kinnaur.

HP logs five deaths, 173 fresh infections

Himachal on Saturday recorded 173 fresh Covid-19 infections taking the state’s tally to 20,213. The death toll mounted to 285 as five more patients succumbed to the contagion. Three fatalities have been reported in Shimla and one each in Hamirpur and Kangra.

Two killed in Sirmaur after vehicle skids off snow laden road

Two persons were killed after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off a snow laden road and plunged down a gorge in Sangrah sub-division in Sirmaur on Tuesday. The victims are Prem Singh, 45, of Viyog village, Sirmaur, and Bunty, 25, of Chunvi village, Sirmaur.

Six children, driver die after school bus skids off road, falls into gorge in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur

The bus was ferrying children from nearby villages to the DAV Public School when the mishap took place around 8:30 am. All the minor victims were below 10 years of age.
