Amid this, a photo of the legendary player's world cup boots has become a subject of admiration among football fans.
"Messi's World Cup boots," read the caption shared along with the photo on Instagram by the Champions League. The picture shows Lionel Messi's golden pair of customised boots. And what attracted netizens' eyeballs is that his sons' birth dates, along with their names, were etched on his boots. The text on Messi's right boot reads, "Thiago 02 11 12 and Mateo 11 09 15." According to other pictures widely shared online, the left boot bears the date of birth of his youngest son Ciro and his wife's name 'Anto', short for Antonela Roccuzzo.
