The driver was drunk and Gupta suspects that he had been doing drugs as well. The three-wheeler went out of control and fell on her legs. Her thigh bone was fractured. After a five-hour operation, she was told that she can’t walk for two months. The actress says she owes her speedy return on the sets to the producers.

“They waited this long for me and now I’ll be shown on a wheelchair,” she says. Producer and writer Aniruddh Pathak has changed the script, so Gupta could shoot. As Gupta puts it, it was her “worst New Year ever.”
