After Mano ya na Mano, Siddharth Kak is back with not one but two shows both of which will air on NDTV Imagine. Both Indiadhanush and Rang de India are anchor-based shows.

Forgotten traditions
Indiadhanush aims to discover unknown cultures and traditions from across the country. It will be hosted by Ami Trivedi of Kituu Sab Jaanti Hai and Kak himself.

It is a glimpse into the immense possibilities of India, says Kak. It does sound quite like his most popular cultural package Surabhi though Trivedi insists, It won't be as serious.

Indiadhanush starts airing from Monday.

New territory
Kak is all praise for the channel for stepping into a different territory so early on. Other channels follow a formula to success. Reality shows are the flavour of the season.

They will be done to death until someone decides to come up with something more innovative, he says. The primary aim of a show like Indiadhanush , as Kak puts it, is to get the entire family together.

Fact and fiction
His last show , Mano Ya Na Mano, had a loyal viewership on Star One, except towards the end when the presentation changed.

Whereas, the fictional recreation of real-life incidents was a minor section of the weekly show, it later became the crux. As for Rangde India, Kak says it is too early to share any details. But a source tells us that Benaf Dadachandji of Baa, Bahoo aur Baby will co-anchor the show with Kak.

It will be a youthful take on culture and tradition.
