Jennifer Love Hewitt is back as a hooker in the new television series The Client List, based on the 2010 television film of the same name. In a promotional still, the diva flaunts her curves over the floor wearing bra and knickers.

Hewitt stars as a mother-of-three who takes up a job in a salon. But it's not long before she figures out that giving more than just facials and massages will line her pockets even more, so she teams up with the salon owner to provide extras.

The series that starts from April 8, is already in the middle of controversy as legitimate massage therapy workers have complained against the show.

Jennifer said about the backlash, "I feel badly that they feel offended, but I respect that people need to say what they need to say."

"I tried to make a joke on Twitter that I wondered why people were not writing to Dexter about killing people, or to Nurse Jackie about taking drugs on the job," she added.

"Those are big, big television characters audiences love and adore so if there can be a serial killer we all like, I feel like a happy-endings specialist is the least of our worries," said Jennifer.

"At the end of the day, though, it's a television series. I'm not saying every massage parlour in the world gives happy endings."

"Nor do I know which ones do, but it is a part of our society. And even if it wasn't, it's just a part of our story. It's entertainment," says the actor.

About The Client List, the movie

The Client List is a 2010 television film that premiered on the Lifetime Network on July 19, 2010, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and directed by Eric Laneuville. A fictionalized dramatization of a 2004 prostitution scandal in Odessa, Texas, the film follows Samantha Horton, a mother of three who turns to prostitution to make ends meet.
