Run The Dirty Picture on TV post 11pm: I&B Ministry

The Dirty Picture was scheduled to telecast first time on television at 12pm and 8pm on Sunday. However, the Information and Broadcast Ministry has told Sony TV that it can air the film only after 11pm, that too after 56 cuts.

The Dirty Picture was scheduled to telecast first time on television at 12pm and 8pm on Sunday. However, the Information and Broadcast Ministry has told Sony TV that it can air the film only post 11pm.



This after the High Court had cleared the film after 56 cuts, 36 of which were cut by the film producer himself and 22 others as suggested by the Board.



A city lawyer had filed a petition seeking to impose a ban on its telecast on the ground that there were obscene shots in the film.



The Dirty Picture starred Vidya Balan in a bold avatar and she has also won National Award for her performance in the film.



It also featured Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi.



The film was directed by Milan Luthria and co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor.
