Taimur hasn’t got anything to say about Sacred Games, jokes Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan has been receiving rave reviews for his new web show Sacred Games, streaming giant Netflix’s first original from India. When he was asked how his family has reacted to it, he joked his ‘most recent kid’ can’t speak, so he ‘hasn’t got anything to say’.

Sacred Games is Netflix’s first India original starring Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh.

In a conversation with Bollywoodlife, he said that he ‘is going to make Kareena’ watch the show. His other son Ibrahim has loved it, but daughter Sara is busy shooting and yet to watch the show based on author Vikram Chandra’s book of the same name.

Saif plays a cop Sartaj Singh who gets an unexpected challenge thrown at him by a notorious gangster played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Saif said, “We always hope for the best and worry about the worst. It’s a nice feeling and a beautiful experience working with the streaming service. The makers, Vikramaditya (Motwane) and Anurag Kashyap, have got it right. It’s pretty high quality stuff. People are also talking on the level which is more global about an Indian show. This makes me feel that I’ve understood my job and can do it on a globally acceptable level, which is quite cool.”

Saif recently went to London for a vacation. He also talked about the trip. He said, “It has been a really nice summer vacation. Taimur has really enjoyed and we’ve spent some quality time with him. My mornings would be with Taimur; afternoon to oneself; and evenings would be nice dinner with friends. It’s been quite a healthy trip.”
