Valentine’s Day: For Aashka Goradia and Brent Goble, love blossomed in a Las Vegas nightclub
This Valentine’s day, we talk to one of the most celebrated couples of Indian television, Aashka Goradia and Brent Goble, and find out more about their love story.
Actor Aashka Goradia and husband Brent Goble, who celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together after marriage, can never forget the first time their eyes locked — on an evening in Las Vegas.
“I was working at Hakkasan nightclub for the evening for some of our company’s clients. Calvin Harris was performing that evening, which draws the biggest crowds in Vegas. I was waiting for the clients. I noticed Aashka and her friend standing about 10 feet from my table,” says Brent, adding, “After exchanging a few glances, I invited her to sit with me. She and her friend agreed to give me company till my clients arrived. She was shy and to be honest, didn’t seem interested. I thought she was lovely, but I didn’t want to seem pushy.” However, they kept in touch, and soon after, love blossomed.
The couple tied the knot on December 3, last year in Ahmedabad. Has marriage changed their bonding for better? She says, “We both sleep better for starters. It’s only been a little over two months but we’ve become a lot more focussed on our personal growth and goals. And we laugh a lot more.”
Defining love, Aashka says, “Love means feeling blessed in each other’s presence. It’s basking in the honour of having a person who wants to spend the rest of his life with you.” And, what are their V-Day plans? “I’m going to cook her favourite pancakes,” says Brent. “And we will have a nice, romantic dinner together,” adds Aashka.
