India successfully flight-tested the Anti-Tank Guided Missile HELINA. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the DRDO and the Indian Army for the maiden achievement through joint work. The test-fire took place from the advanced light helicopter (ALH) at high altitude in Ladakh, paving the way for the weapon’s integration with the chopper. HELINA is among the most advanced anti-tank weapons in the world. The third generation Nag and the Helina are two of the anti-tank missile systems designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). While the Helina is launched from a rotary platform, the Nag missile is fired from a modified infantry combat vehicle, or Namica. Watch this video for more details.
