Asian outrage hits Finland: PM begs mercy on cam after politicians' cringe-worthy eye-pulling pics

Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo strongly condemned racist “squinting gesture” photos posted by two MPs from the Finns Party, calling the act “in no way acceptable” as he arrived at the European Council in Brussels. Orpo said Finland’s government issued formal apologies in Japanese, Korean and Chinese after the incident damaged the country’s image abroad. The controversy erupted after the MPs shared the images in support of former Miss Finland Sarah Dzafce, who lost her title over a similar photo. Orpo also addressed the EU debate on frozen Russian assets, stressing that any solution must involve Belgium.
