US President Joe Biden had cancelled a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the G7 summit in June 2022, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. Instead of Biden, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had arrived for the meeting, leaving the German side 'surprised,' WSJ reported. Blinken reportedly told the Germans that the 81-year-old couldn't attend the meeting because he “had to go to bed.”
