Russia is reportedly pushing ahead with a major modernization of its Tu-160 strategic bomber fleet as it waits for the future PAK DA stealth bomber to arrive. Reports say the upgraded Tu-160M is being treated as a bridge platform meant to keep Russia’s long-range bomber force credible through improvements in avionics, navigation, autopilot systems, electronics, and weapons integration.
