Facebook unveils Libra cryptocurrency; set to launch in 2020

Facebook on Thursday formally unveiled blockchain-based cryptocurrency, Libra. Set to launch in 2020, Facebook's cryptocurrency will be accessible to everyone with a smartphone and data connectivity. The social media giant also introduced digital wallet 'Calibra' which will support the new cryptocurrency. Calibra wallet will be available on Messenger, WhatsApp and as a standalone app.
