China-U.S spar over COVID 'discrimination'; Beijing warns 'retaliation'; Biden decries 'rhetoric'

Strict COVID rules for flyers from China have infuriated the Xi Jinping administration. China has vowed to take countermeasures after the United States and other countries tightened their COVID rules for those travelling from China. The Xi Jinping government called it a "bid to target Beijing" and "achieve political goals." The White House responded to China's warning and said there is "no cause for retaliation" as countries are simply taking "prudent health measures to protect their citizens." India, too, has made a "credible negative report" required for Chinese visitors. The restrictions were imposed after China witnessed a sudden spike in COVID cases. Watch this report for more.
