Covid update: Schools reopening; Sputnik V released; air pollution & virus

From Russia releasing Sputnik V in public to the Indian government issuing guidelines for reopening of schools, here are the top updates on the Covid-19 pandemic. The Centre issued SOPs for partials re-opening of schools in the country. Schools to re-open in a staggered manner for class 9th till 12th. According to the Centre's guidelines, students should be encouraged for online classes, school visit only to be allowed if students seek teacher's guidance. Meanwhile, Russia released its vaccine Sputnik V in public, the country's health ministry confirmed in a statement. Also, a professor from the University of British Columbia said air pollution can intensify Covid-19. India may see a rise in cases during winters due to a rise in pollution levels.
