From India's GDP falling to a record low to Onam celebrations, here are the top updates on Covid-19 pandemic. India's GDP fell by 23.9% in the April-June quarter, according to the official data released. This comes amid the coronavirus pandemic which hit businesses and livelihood across the country. India's economy grew at 3.1% in the January-March quarter, which is the slowest in at least eight years. Meanwhile, the West Bengal government cleared that it will go ahead with a three-day lockdown system in place in September. The Centre, under Unlock 4 guidelines, had announced that states will have to take permission from the Centre for imposing local lockdown outside containment areas.
