Indian skipper Virat Kohli responded to Rohit Sharma's injury ahead of Australia tour. Kohli said there is a 'lack of clarity' and the 'waiting game is not ideal'. BCCI on Thursday also ruled out Ishant Sharma from the upcoming test matches against Australia. BCCI will take a decision on Rohit Sharma on December 11. Kohli said, “Before we had the selection meeting in Dubai, we received a mail which said that Rohit is unavailable for selection since he picked up injury during the IPL. <p>India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja hogged the limelight on Friday not for his four wickets, but for his brilliant effort on the field to run out Australia batsman Steve Smith at the Sydney Cricket Ground. With Smith looking good after registering his 27th Test century, the run out ended Australia's first innings on 338. Jadeja enjoyed his rocket-arm throw and said it was one of his best efforts. The all-rounder also termed Smith's dismissal as his favourite run-out. “I will rewind and play this run-out as this is one of my best efforts. A direct hit from outside the 30-yard circle. This my favourite and best run-out. Three or four-wicket hauls are fine but this run-out will stay with me,” Jadeja told the media during the virtual press conference at the end of the second day's action at the SCG. <p>BCCI president Sourav Ganguly was discharged from the hospital on Thursday morning. The former India captain was discharged from Kolkata's Woodlands hospital five days after suffering a 'mild heart attack'. Ganguly, who had to undergo a stent insertion, was declared clinically fit by doctors. Soon, the 48-year-old cricket icon boarded his private vehicle to return home. Ganguly was rushed to hospital on Saturday after he complained of chest discomfort during a workout session at his home gymnasium.</p>

<p>India stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane opened up on the ongoing 'quarantine controversy'. Rahane said that the Indian team is not at all annoyed with the bio-secure protocols. He, however, conceded that it was 'challenging' to be confined when life outside their five-star facility in Sydney seems to be 'normal'. Rahane added that the team's focus is on the third test at the Sydney cricket ground starting Thursday. The stand-in captain was speaking at the pre-match virtual press conference. The India vs Australia border-Gavaskar trophy is levelled at 1-1. India, meanwhile, announced their playing XI for the Sydney test. Rohit Sharma, who is also the vice-captain, returned to the XI replacing Mayank Agarwal. Navdeep Saini will make his test debut replacing the injured Umesh Yadav.</p>

Fans had gathered outside the hospital with placards wishing Ganguly, amid tight security. Ganguly, however, told the doctors that he wished to stay back for another day. The former India cricket team captain was rushed to the hospital last Saturday after he complained of chest pain and dizziness. Ganguly underwent angioplasty after three blockages were detected in his coronary artery. Doctors have advised the 48-year-old to undergo two more angioplasty after 2-3 weeks.</p>

<p>Former Indian Cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly underwent coronary angiography after a 'mild' heart attack and is stable now. He was diagnosed with three blocked coronary arteries on Saturday. Authorities at the hospital said there is a history of heart disease in Ganguly's family. Dr Rupali Basu, MD and CEO, Woodlands, said that angiography was done followed by angioplasty. She informed that Ganguly was working out at the gym in his home when he felt unwell and dizzy. Basu added that a team of seven doctors are looking after Ganguly.
