Far-right Dutch leader and frontrunner for the Prime Ministerial post, Geert Wilders, posted a message supporting suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. He called Nupur "brave" and expressed a desire to meet her. In May 2022, Nupur made controversial remarks about the Prophet during a live TV debate on the Gyanvapi mosque issue.
