Oscar nominees: 'Birdman' and 'Grand Budapest Hotel' lead with nine each

Two extravagant comedies lead the way in this year's Oscar race -- 'Birdman' and 'The Grand Budapest Hotel.' Among the surprises, Marion Cotillard for best actress, and no nomination for David Oyelowo, who plays Martin Luther King in 'Selma'. The ratings for the academy awards are on the rise. Last year's show, hosted by Ellen Degeneres, was the most watched in a decade with 43 million viewers. This year's host is Neil Patrick Harris. The Oscars will air on February 22, 2015.
