Tina Dabi, 2015 UPSC topper, marries runner-up Athar Amir-ul-Shafi

Tina Dabi, the girl who topped the civil services examination in 2015, married Athar Amir-ul-Shafi Khan in a quiet ceremony in Pahalgam, Srinagar. Khan had stood second in the same examination. Tina is the first ever Dalit woman to top the UPSC exams. She wanted to be posted in Haryana, and Khan in his home state Kashmir, but bot were posted in the IAS cadre of Rajasthan. When their relationship was put into the spotlight by the media, they were severely criticised from different sections of the society owing to their different religious backgrounds.
