Pet dog helps rescuers catch a rat snake

A pet dog in Thailand helped rescuers to catch a rat snake. The brown poodle, Yao, is a pet to 49-year-old Prangthip Chaturong. The incident took place on May 24 at Udon Thani, northeastern Thailand. Prangthip described Yao as a very smart and reliable dog which always barks whenever he sees any strangers and dangerous animals within the premises of the house. The rat snake was estimated to be five feet long. It was rescued and later released into the forest several miles away.
