FIFA World Cup 2018: Argentina without Lionel Messi in training

Argentina held an open practice session on Tuesday at their Bronnitsy training base, 54 kilometres south of the centre of Moscow. However, there was no sign of mega-star Lionel Messi, The FC Barcelona striker, along with other players expected to be in the starting XI for Argentina's opening Group D game against Iceland, took no part in the session. Cristian Ansaldi, Gabriel Mercado, Federico Fazio, Marcos Acuna, Paulo Dybala, Enzo Perez, Giovanni Lo Celso, Cristian Pavon and Gonzalo Higuain all got a workout, though, as did the goalkeepers.
