CCTV footage has captured the moment a jewellery shop was attacked and looted in Lyon, France, amid violent demonstrations over rising prices and declining public services. Looters reportedly smashed the windows of the Koumal jewellery store, ransacked drawers, destroyed displays and stole items. The unrest left parts of Lyon's city centre damaged, with broken shop windows and graffiti-covered monuments. According to the Federation of Trade and Retail, nearly 3,000 shops were affected nationwide over the weekend. French authorities are investigating the incidents, while Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu has not ruled out emergency measures as concerns grow over public safety and business recovery.
