Hamas has claimed that five hostages were killed in Israeli military action in Gaza, reported Reuters. Three of the hostages were elderly men who recently featured in a Hamas video. If true, this could be another blow to Israel's efforts to rescue hostages from the Palestinian territory. Earlier, three Israeli hostages were mistakenly killed by Israeli troops in Gaza. Israel believes that around 20 of the remaining 130 hostages in Gaza are dead, as per Reuters.
