BJP, Congress in war of words after Ajit Pawar takes oath as Fadnavis’ deputy

Congress and BJP got in war of words after Devendra Fadnavis took over as Maharashtra Chief Minister with NCP's Ajit Pawar as his deputy. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad attacked the Shiv Sena for backstabbing the alliance with BJP and said a stable government will now be formed under Devendra Fadnavis. The appointment of Fadnavis comes after Congress, NCP and SHiv Sena formed an alliance and were supposed to meet the Maharashtra governor for government formation in the state. Congress slammed BJP and accused the party of 'murdering the democracy'.
