Delhi’s air quality under ‘severe’ category post New Year

Air quality in the national capital deteriorated after the New Year. According to data recorded by Air Quality Index (AQI) PM 2.5 was recorded in 'severe' category while PM fell under 'very poor' category. Lodhi road area recorded PM 2.5 at 408 while PM 10 remained at 260. The air quality in Delhi deteriorated following firework display on New Year's eve.
