Facebook executives skipped a hearing of the Delhi Assembly's 'Peace and Harmony' to seek answers on the alleged inaction on hate posts during the Delhi violence earlier this year. Facebook in a letter to the committee said that they have they have already appeared before a parliamentary panel on the issue of hate posts and urged the Delhi Assembly committee to withdraw its summons. 'This is an issue of Delhi, how can Facebook say that it's not the domain of this committee? He said that Facebook's refusal to comply with Delhi Assembly panel summons can lead to a breach of privilege and warned of coercive action. He said that another letter would now be sent seeking their presence following which he called a 'final warning' to the social media giant.
