‘Police brutality’: Jamia student outfit releases CCTV video, ignites row

An outfit called Jamia Coordination Committee posted a video on Twitter. The outfit claimed that it was video footage from Jamia varsity library. JCC claimed that the video was from Dec 15, 2019 when police had entered Jamia. JCC tweeted 'shame on you Delhi police' alleging 'police brutality'. Police said that it had taken cognisance of the video and would launch a probe. Meanwhile, Jamia authorities distanced themselves from publication of video. University administration said that JCC is an outfit formed by students & alumni. JCC is said to be spearheading the protest outside Jamia against CAA-NRC.
