Navy chief reveals intel of Jaish-e-Mohammad training ‘underwater wing’

Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Karambir Singh, revealed that intelligence alerts suggest that Jaish-e-Mohammad is providing training to its 'underwater wing'. Admiral Singh went on to say that the Navy was on alert and prepared to foil any terror attempts. Jaish-e-Mohammad is a Pakistan-based terror group, led by Masood Azhar. The last major attack carried out by the outfit was the Pulwama strike in February 2019. At least 40 CRPF jawans had died in the attack. Significantly, in 2008, terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba had used the sea route to enter Mumbai and carry out a deadly attack.
