India will see “normal” monsoon this year according to Skymet's weather prediction, after above normal heat already. Monsoon is considered “above normal” if it's between 96-104 percent of the Long Period Average (LPA). However, parts of south and north-east India will see below normal or 90-96 percent of the LPA. There will be no drought this year, according to the Skymet predictions. The rainfall will dip in August but will pick up again in September.
