Situation in Delhi's north-east region moved towards normalcy on Saturday. People were seen opening shops. At least 42 people died and more than 300 injured in violence that broke out on Sunday between pro and anti-CAA protesters in the area. Violence hit areas included Jafrabad, Chand Bagh, Maujpur. Delhi Police Joint Commissioner Alok Kumar said the situation is returning to normal. Debris were also removed from the areas. Stones used in pelting were also being removed.
