PM Modi launches Atal Bhujal Yojana, names Rohtang passageway Atal Tunnel

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Atal Bhujal Yojana on the occasion of the 95th birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The scheme aims at better management of groundwater and also stresses on the use of technology to prevent wastage of water, including in agriculture. Prime Minister Modi also named the Rohtang passageway as the Atal tunnel. Earlier, PM Modi paid tributes to Vajpayee at the Sadaiv Atal memorial in Rajghat.
