TN Seshan, ex-Chief Election Commissioner, poll reform architect passes away

Former chief election commissioner Tirunellai Narayana Iyer Seshan passed away on Nov 10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter calling him an 'outstanding civil servant'. Congress' Shashi Tharoor called him a 'pillar of our democracy'. TN Seshan served as the 10th Chief Election Commissioner. Seshan was also Chief Election Commissioner from 1990-96. He had also served as the 18th Cabinet Secretary and is famous for implementing electoral reforms.
