Watch: Congress under fire for Savarkar-Godse ‘physical relationship’ claim

A fresh controversy has broken out over the historical figure, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. At the centre of the storm is a booklet by the Congress Seva Dal, the Indian National Congress' grassroots front organisation. The booklet states that, 'Before he took a vow of celibacy, Nathuram Godse had only one physical relationship - Veer Savarkar.' The grandson of Savarkar, and leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party severely slammed the Congress for the claim which the latter says is quoted from a book called 'Freedom at Midnight'.
