Modi Govt blocks 104 Youtube channels in India over 'disinformation'

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, informed the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that 104 YouTube channels and 45 YouTube videos had been banned as a part of the I&B Ministry’s efforts to curb the spread of misleading information that could lead to rumors or fear-mongering. The I&B Minister said that the govt won't compromise on misinformation that attempts to destroy the country and compromises the security of the country.
