AR Rahman receives Doctorate from Anna University

A R Rahman, the first Indian music composer to bag Oscars was conferred with a Degree of Doctor of Science by Anna University on Saturday. The University honoured Rahman along with the Mylswamy Annadurai, project director of India's moon mission and MK Stalin, deputy state chief of Tamil Nadu. Rahman said that he was overwhelmed with the honour and requested young people to take to creative fields like arts and media.
