At least 30 people are feared dead after a stampede

At least 115 people have been feared killed and nearly 200 injured following an early morning stampede at Chamunda temple in Mehrangarh near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Over 1000 devotees, especially women, had gathered at the temple located on a hillock for the occasion of the first navratra on Tuesday morning. At around 5.30 am, some people tried enter the temple in a hurry to beat the crowd, leading to the stampede.
