BJP tells PM to step down

After the Left parties withdrew their support from the UPA government over the controversial nuclear deal, the opposition BJP has asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to resign and order fresh polls. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's government has begun the hard task of cobbling together votes to survive a vote of confidence, which is expected to take place, either on July 21 or July 22.
