Bomb disposal teams check Tihar before Anna's release

Bomb disposal squads with sniffer dogs conducted a surprise check outside Tihar Jail in New Delhi on early Thursday morning where Anna Hazare is fasting for the enactment of strong laws against corruption. The teams arrived at around 3:30 am to sanitise the area, where thousands of Hazare supporters were camping to express solidarity with him. The 74-year-old Gandhian, whose arrest sparked protests across the country, has accepted a police offer to fast at the Ramlila ground for 15 days.
